  Wow! First evening Amur river fishing! And a new PB for Walleye. 3.1 kg!!! Although this isn’t Zander, like European pike-perch, it’s an American one, a whitefin or lightfin! Lat. Sander vitreus. I don’t have this species in my collection yet. It’s distinguished by its white lower fins, while the European pike-perch has a slightly white lower caudal fin at the tip. This is an invasive species for the Amur River. Removal of any length is highly recommended. Where did it come from?   Sup fellas! The long-awaited fishing expedition to Khabarovsk, to the Amur River, is starting. My main target is the Mandarin Fish or Chinese Perch, as strange as that may sound.
